Easy living
Located just under the San Niccolò ramp, near Piazza Poggi, is the city's free beach area, equipped with sand, walking paths, lounge chairs and umbrellas, a volleyball court, a bar, showers, large cabanas to provide shade and misters that give fast heat relief. There is no entrance fee for the Easy Living Beach, which is open daily from 10am to 10pm to September.
Take part in one of the yoga classes (see www.itsyogafirenze.it) or drop by Piazza Poggi to enjoy Piazzart's Easy Living 2010, which includes exhibits, performances, video installations and workshops for adults and children. A large screen projector shows FIFA World Cup soccer games for the duration of the international tournament in South Africa.
