“The Florentine is a newspaper all about Florence, read by native English speakers and Florentines that would like to practice their English. The writing style is not necessarily difficult, but to really learn, you had better keep your dictionary handy”.
Read more of the review by students from Classe IV E at Liceo Rodolico in Florence at www.liceorodolico.it. But all of you English speakers be sure to follow the high-schoolers’ advice and get out your Italian dictionaries!
The Florentine distributed 12 issues of the paper to 30 English language classrooms at high schools in the Florence province. The project is sponsored by the Provincia di Firenze and the Ente Cassa di Risparmio di Firenze.
